FOUNDER & CEO
Dr. Kameko, an accomplished artist, advocate, and educator, was born and raised in Los Angeles, California, where she discovered her love for artistic expression at a young age. As a child, she quietly sketched butterflies in her grandmother’s garden, not knowing that she, too, would undergo a transformative journey. Today, she conveys a powerful message of love, unity, and resilience through art, advocacy, and public speaking.
Growing up in south central L.A. with a Japanese name, Kameko faced racism and discrimination from various communities. Embracing her identity, and letting go of social expectations, she rose above these challenges, working to dismantle false perceptions and labels imposed on her. Her deep love for all cultures and people, combined with her personal experiences, fuels her mission to break down barriers and promote understanding.
As a dedicated kindergarten teacher and mom of three, Kameko is particularly passionate about the well-being of women and children. Her advocacy extends globally, from Mexico to Africa, where she has witnessed the struggles of orphaned and vulnerable children, including those at risk of human trafficking. She actively champions child safety, raising awareness of these critical issues both nationally and internationally.
Kameko’s art is a profound reflection of her experiences and identity as an African American woman. Her oil paintings, inspired by the work of Barkley Hendricks, are featured in galleries and museums, where they celebrate individuality, beauty, and the confident essence of Black identity. Through bold use of color and style, her work challenges societal narratives and amplifies the voices of those often marginalized.
In addition to her art, Kameko is a sought-after speaker, engaging audiences at universities, churches, conferences, and various platforms. Her powerful talks inspire individuals to tap into their innate talents and pursue their purpose with intention. Known for her ability to break down limiting beliefs, traumas, and misconceptions, she encourages personal growth and transformation.
Kameko also shares her teachings through a weekly podcast and three YouTube channels, where her content continues to inspire a global audience. Living each day with the intention to inspire and be inspired, Kameko’s impact reaches far beyond the canvas, touching lives and fostering a spirit of change and empowerment.
